Heres a modern take on Bo Peep. The only way you could make her more modern is give her a smartphone! lol

Jehanne makes it sooo easy with all the awesome art she cranks out! This is Emo Amber Shepherdess.

Colored her up with Copics on plain old copy paper.
Fussy cut the TLC Creations sentiment a bit, then diecut with Spellbinders Label#10
Embossed green cardstock with a Sizzix folder, then did a "lace" effect with a Martha Stewart punch

Well today im using emo victorian 2 from Just some lines you can find her here along with some other amazing images and sets from jehanne ---------->

i used my dcwv polka dot pink paper, and printed the image onto that and cut out parts of her dress and her umbrella, 3d like...such a fun way to spruce up a card isnt it...i also used my pastel pink sharpie to add more color...my pink victorian paper is from "timeless" such beautiful papers...i also added 2 big pink soft flowers

Hi everyone, Audrey here with you today and although it's almost the end of Wednesday for me, I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Wednesday!! My day was busy but largely uneventful, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Anyway, just want to share my creation with you. I am using FAIRY HELLO FRIEND which you can find at JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I have colored her with Copics. Used some oranges, which I don't use too often - they match this great Basic Grey DP and also I like how they came together with the pinks and the reds on the image. Found the perfect sentiment from My Craft Spot clear stamps. Finished off the card with ribbon from Taylored Expressions Kit Club, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. CS is Core-dinations, image and backing cut with Nesties, hearts and sentiment with Lifestyle Craft dies and scalloped edge with MFT die. Sure hope you like it!!

Yay me - I get to post on Valentine's Day!! This is Juelmarie from J and J's Yummy Creations and this is my turn again to post! I decided to use the negative from a nestie and use a nestie for my sentiment! My little girl is from Just Some Lines (of course) store! She is Fairy hello Friend! Just click on the store and you'll find her! She was so fun to color! I've been on a Bic and Sharpies kick! You know - they are very reasonably priced and they are fun! I don't have as many colors so it's a challenge for me but I like it because it shows you can do a lot with a small pack! Now go check out the fun stuff in the store! Morning all,

It has been a while since I last wrote here. Hope you all are doing well. Over the Christmas I was treated to an online art course given by a really fabulous artist, Jane Davenport. During the course I learnt some fab facial and hair things, which I have been dying to add to my stamp drawings. So today I thought I would share with you two sketches I drew for stamps with what I call "Davenport hair" LOL. Hope you like them.

Hi ... It's Chelsea here to share a wonderful Wedding Card!

I recently had to make a wedding card for a co-worker friend of mine.

I have wanted to use this wedding cake image from Just Some Lines for a while and try this.

I printed the image 4 times and popped each layer of the cake upon itself making it 3D.

Here it is from the side.... notice the dimension.

I got so many wonderful compliments on this card that I think I will have to make a few more of these!

Hello all and Happy Tuesday. Today I'd like to share a different kind of fold. The card size is 4.25" by 5.5", but the front of the card is one inch less than the back with the main image overlapping the inside of the card. So the pink on the right is actually on the inside.

I just like trying something a little different every now and then. I also felt the Big Hat Girl was perfect in one of my favorite color combos!

Hi y'all! Greetings from "the badlands of Iowa!
Everything is frosty and foggy this morning, but it was a nice walk to get Cassie to school.
It takes longer for the van to warm up and get scraped off than it does to just walk to the school.
I need the exercise & we save ga$. So it's a win/win.

Just Some Lines is having a fun challenge this time around, so I made another card for inspiration of "it's a dog's life". It's going on until Friday night 11:59pm ET.

This is Dog & Mouse, I'm not sure if Dog is sleepy or depressed, but I thought of this sentiment from TLC Creations when I first saw this digi. Kind of like, "I'm here, whether you like it or not!" Isn't it good to have persistent friends that stick with us even when times are tough?

Happy Saturday everyone! Audrey here with you today and I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Mine could be better, but I'm not complaining too much because it could also be worse LOL. I have a cold, not too horrible, but wish I felt better. I'm still getting used to the new "updated" Blogger - a few blank posts on Thurs., and I think I have finally figured it out. Then, I had a wee fight with MS Word and my printer for about the past hour - I did win, but it also prevented me from printing some images, so my sample for today will be a bit late. Thankfully, the amazingly talented Jenn has created a sample for you to enjoy using EMO JESSI and GIFT from JUST SOME LINES SHOP. Thanks so much Jenn, FABULOUS creation as always!!

For my creation, I have chosen YUMMY BONE from JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I love this sweet image and I have chosen to color it with Copics and My Mind’s Eye papers as well as Core-dinations CS. Ribbon is from Michael’s, sentiment is from MFT clear stamps, cut with Nesties and bling from Doodlebug Designs. I sure hope you like it, I really had fun coloring the image!

Hey everyone! It's Audrey here with you today and I am showing off one of the NEWEST images from JUST SOME LINES SHOP and that is EMO JESSI and GIFT and what an ADORABLE image it is! I have colored it with all Copics, made the grass with a technique I read about on Lime Tart Blog. I chose papers from Bazzill and Coredinations for this cutie and DP from Pebbles, Inc. Decided to go with a color scheme which strayed from my typical color choices and I am loving how it turned out. I added some ribbon from my stash, buttons from Bag o' Buttons and sentiment from Whimsy stamps. All shape cuts done with Nesties except triangles which I did with Lifestyle Crafts dies. Hope you like it!!

Party Dog with Balloons

Well, the other shoe has officially dropped here. Winterfinally made it to "the badlands".

Yay...woohoo..whoopi... (does anyone denote an air ofsarcasm?)

Oh well, at least I can sled my youngest to school now, but I still just keep thinking...one day closer to spring.

This is Rufus Cold Bath.He just came out today in the JSL shop.

Jehanne has made up a whole series of Rufus and bath timeantics.

I think she may have some canine inspiration at home...hmmmm?

Rufus is colored with Copics on a laser printed colorbokwhite textured cardstock.

I don't recommend this cardstock with laser printing.There is some sort of finish that prevents the print from sticking properly.I was able to correct some of it in photo editing. Hence the quality is alittle less than I normally like, but I didn't really realize that until Icolored it up.

Sentiment is from TLC Creations.

Stitched tag handmade with ripped cardstock and an oldbook page.

Embossed lilac cardstock with a Sizzix embossing folder.

Card base of some plain white cardstock from my stash.

Hello everyone! It's Audrey with you today and my day did not start off too well! One of my kids got sick right after midnight last night, another early this am and a third I had to pick up at school at 9:30am b/c he was not feeling well. So, it has been a pretty bad day, which is also why my post for today is later than usual. I hope all of you are safe and healthy!

For my creation today, I went with a more "classic" feel to my card. I usually use a lot of bright colors in my creations, but today I went with black, white and red. I chose Winter Robin 2 from JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I love the wide variety of images that Jehanne has in the shop and this one was great fun to color with my Copics. I added ribbon from SU (wide striped), Michael's (white/red) and lace from Hobby Lobby. Button is from random button assortment I found at Michael's, silver cord from SU. Sizzix EF used on white Copic Xpress paper, red and black CS from Core-dinations and DP behind image is Doodlebug Design. Sentiment from Verve cut with Creatables die and image and backing DP cut with Nellie's dies. I hope you like it and that it will provide some inspiration to try some of Jehanne's great variety of images!!

There's just something about a baby's butt! What can I say! I love this little image from Just Some Lines! Well, as you might've guessed - this is Juelmarie from J and J's Yummy Creations! I'm back at the helm again! Too fun! I decided to use petit pot getting in. Isn't this little guy too cute (I'm assuming he's a boy cause he has blue wings and girls would be a little more modest - LOL) Anyway, I colored and fussy cut my image I added some glitter grass, an embossed mat, a butter fly some more flowers and flourishes! Happy Monday, Just Some Lines friends! This is Jenn blogging at you today from a very cold Massachusetts! But we're on a holiday today, so we can stay inside and keep warm with a nice hot breakfast courtesy of my husband! :) He makes the very best home fries (potatoes cut into small pieces and friend with onions), eggs, and bacon. I'm getting hungry now. LOL

Hi y'all! it's Laura checking in from the "badlands of Iowa".

This is turning out to be one of the strangest winters EVER here in the badlands. Just waiting ~~for the other shoe to drop.~~..I mean massive amounts of snow to be here. Record breaking warm temperatures abounded last week, if this keeps up, I'm afraid trees will start to bud...then wammo.. a big snowstorm. I really don't want that to happen, just sayin'.

This card is 5 7/8" square using Bird in Tree, a new one just released today in the Just Some Lines shop!! Colored with copics on plain old copy paper, then fussy cut and mounted on foam tape. I started stamping on the back of each completed project with a specific number for 2012 so I can keep better track of my cards, what art I used and where it went from there, something I intended to do in 2011, but never got around to!

Hey everyone! Hope your first full week of the NEW YEAR was a great one. Life has been slowly easing back into our "normal" routine and although it stinks not being able to sleep til 8am every morning, the fun always has to end sometimes, right?!?

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Audrey here today and I am sitting at my computer and it is so quiet. The kids went back to school today and it seems strange having the house so quiet - even the dogs are napping. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday time and were able to spend it with loved ones. Our holiday was fabulous, but there is always a certain amount of stress associated with this time of year, and I am looking forward to the new year and what adventures and experiences it may hold!!

Jehanne, our FABULOUS owner and illustrator here at JUST SOME LINES, has been busy creating wonderful new images for everyone to enjoy while us DT gals were on break. So, now we have the great privilege of being able to share these images with you:)

For my post today, I am using BIRTHDAY PARTY GIRL and you can find here at JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I had so much fun coloring this image with my Copics - one of my new year's resolutions is to take my coloring up a notch, hopefully I can do that! I am also resolving to take better photos of my creations because after spending so much time on the coloring and layouts, I'd like that to be obvious in the photo. We'll see...

I cut the image using Nesties and then added Stickles for the cupcake frosting. Other cuts are done with Nesties except sentiment is done with Lifestyle Crafts die. Sentiment is from Pink By Design, papers from Do Crafts and My Minds Eye, ribbon from Offray, bling from Darice and pearls from Hero Arts. Flowers are Prima, CS is American Crafts and Core-dinations. Hello there friends of JSL - happy new year! With the new year, we have some fabulous new images for you! Today I'm playing with 2 of these new images, this first one is called "Tower of Gifts" and you can find it in the JSL shop here. Here we go:

I colored my image with Prismacolor markers and used some bright, fun DP from My Mind's Eye. I added a button and some gemstone stickers.

I used Reindeer Party Harty i think hes had enouph celebrating...lol i colored him with my 80's glam sharpies and i used my dcwv pastel cardstock..added a sentiment that i printed off my computer...i also added some glitter to the bulbs and his red nose...just like rudolph...

Hi it's Chelsea again!

Have I said yet that I love love love snowmen! .... Well I do!

In fact I have a Christmas tree dedicated to my love for snowmen!

And this snowman image (called Snowman Angel Heart's Contemplation) means a lot to me ... Jehanne created it and created something very special for me this Christmas ... a wool Christmas tree topper. I have been looking for more than 3 years for a snowman angel for the top of my tree ... And I finally have one!!!

Hello all! Jenn here with lots of PENGUIN goodness for you today. :) There is just something so whimsical about penguins, don't you think? They're fun to color and make stuff with, too. I love using them for Christmas cards. My first creation is actually an ATC (Artist Trading Card) made using Penguin On the Go:

I added some punches hearts on the box! A little glitter and a warm sentiment - and..... Bam! Another box done! Audrey here too, and I also have a project to share today for our HOMEMADE HOLIDAY GIFTS Challenge and it is an ornament. I bought some plastic ornaments at Michael's and ran acrylic paint and some various Adirondak alcohol inks through the inside to create it. I added a tag using JUST SOME LINES Puppy - Christmas Trouble, which I colored with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens and then cut out using Nellie's die. I then put a We R Memory Keepers large eyelet through the tag and attached some silver ribbon from my stash. I hope you like it.

Well how was everyones week?...mine was very busy...work, christmas shopping, work...lol well hopefully now i get to relax and enjoy some alone time this weekend with my honey...

I used my sharpies & bic markers to color her..and i cut out her hat & dress to make them 3d like...so cool dont ya think....i used my stampin up papers that i won and also my green dcwv christmas cardstock

Hello everyone! Audrey here with you today and it's some more Christmas fun! I have had a crazy couple of days, and just need to get some of it off my chest so bear with me:) Monday, it was nasty rain here all day, and it was heavy rain all day, not just light mist or sprinkles, but heavy rain. I always pick my oldest daughter up from school on Mondays and Wednesdays for tutoring after school. I have to get there early b/c the area you have to go to pick up the kids is very small and if you don't get there early enough, you won't get out for a half an hr! So, I get there every Mon. and Weds., turn off the car, but leave music on and work on grocery lists, answering e-mails on my iPad, etc. Well, this Monday (2 days ago), I go to turn on my car after my daughter gets in and it is DEAD!! Thankfully, I was able to go into the school and find some staff members who were able to jump my car after I tried calling people for 1/2 hr. Felt bad because they had to stand out in the pouring rain. Then, I dropped my chenille glove in puddle of water when getting back into car.

Last night, I burnt my thumb opening an oven bag that I was cooking a turkey in. Then today, I get the new battery for my van and my cell phone dies, so off to Verizon and got a new cell phone - will take some getting used to - still a "dumb" phone as I like to call it - no touch screen, web or data plan, just for calling and texting - but different from the one I've had the past 3 years!

Ok, so sorry for babbling, feeling better now. Want to share Jehanne's beautiful image of "Curly Sue Belts out a tune", which you can find at JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I adore this image and imagine her singing beautiful Christmas carols. I have colored her with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens, cut with Nesties as with backing, which I also embossed with Sizzix folder. Sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs and cut with Lifestyle Crafts die. Flowers and pins are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I was inspired by Laura's pin making to use pins, although mine aren't homemade and not nearly as lovely. Ribbon is from Michaels. All DP is Imaginisce and all CS is Coredinations. Hope you enjoy it!!

Winter Cardinal by Laura

Hi y'all! Laura here from the "badlands of Iowa".

Got our first measureable snow this weekend.

Our weathermen are NEVER right on the money, said we were going to get maybe 1 inch and we got more like 6!

So winter here has officially started here, from past experience, we won't see the bare ground til sometime in March.

I just keep telling myself, one day closer to spring, one day closer to spring, one day closer to spring.....

Go here at the Just Some Lines store to get Winter Cardinal.
Colored the cardinal with Copics and a white Jellyroll pen.
Used 2 different Spellbinders dies.
Used Pearl Gemstones paper and Jet Black textured, both from from coredinations.
Handmade stickpin (see all about THAT below)

We started making fancy stickpins for a CDAC swap. We made sets of 3. We ended up using the whole package!!

Pictured below is a handy thing I put together so I could dry the glue on the stickpins and NOT stick myself frequently.

It was pretty easy and Cassie & I had quite a bit of fun making them!

Since Christmas is a mere 22 days away (gasp!), let's see what you can come up with for a

HANDMADE GIFT

So here's what we've got - I made a keychain for my daughter, who is getting her driver's license within the next month or so. I printed Petit Pot - Getting In on Shrinky Dink paper and colored in, punched a hole in the top and baked in my toaster oven, so much fun. Here's the shiny side of the keychain:

I also made an ornament out of a chipboard coaster - this one is for my Secret Sister at The Crafter's Cafe group. I used Petit Pot - Christmas for this, and DP from My Mind's Eye. I colored with Prismacolor markers and sprayed the whole thing with Emerald and Gold Glow Smooch Spritzes:

Lola made these beautiful earrings with a cute holder for them using P-p-p-penguin - hi and Frame 2:

Most people know that I love love love snowmen!

And this snowman is no exception ... I love all of the critters and kids hiding behind him! It was created by Jehanne and it's called Christmas Fun ... isn't it fun???!!!

I colored this image with my copics and added this wonderful sentiment and snowflake with gem. I sponged the background with blue ink.

It's my turn again!! This is Juelmarie from J and J's Yummy Creations and I am happy to show you what I've created with 3 Birds in Winter. This is the cutest image! i decided to use my Fiskars punch that has the corner and the straight edge - I bought it on clearance and love it! I fussy cut my image and glued it on the punched frame on top of another lavender mat! The yellow bling is the negative from a die cut! The die cut above is a Sizzix flourish (one of my fav's). Hello friends! This is Jenn here today - I hope those of you in the US had a fabulous and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday. For my family, once Thanksgiving is over we start thinking about Christmas. Our tree went up last night and we decorated it and hung candy canes on it - so now my house feels festive! :) In that spirit, I've been creating some Christmas ATC's to share with you all. In case you don't know, ATC's (or Artist Trading Cards) are simply 3.5 x 2.5 pieces of art that you can trade, collect, or even turn into something else later! I often stick an adhesive magnet on the back of mine and include them in cards I send, or punch a hole in the top, thread some ribbon through and turn it into a bookmark! I have 3 different ATC's to share with you today, using some of the fantastic Christmas images from the Just Some Lines shop.

This first ATC is the elegant Winter Cardinal 1 - colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. I mounted him on black cardstock and then attached it at an angle to the red ATC, added a few black pearl stickers and I was done:

Next is a fun ATC I made with "P-p-p-penguin - from our home to yours". I colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and added clear gemstone stickers to the top. I love the "hello sunshine" sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers - love those clear-backed stickers, such a perfect embellishment for paper:

And last is my personal favorite - Mistletoe Fairy - colored with bright Prismacolor markers and glitter. DP is from My Mind's Eye - button is from my stash:

I used my christmas colors cardstock by dcwv...added a banner sentiment that was a freebie...used my white stickle to make the snow appear 3d like....that stuff is the coolest on cards...thats all simple...cute...and easy christmas card

Hi y'all, Laura from the "badlands of Iowa" today.

We got our first icing of the season on Saturday. Added to that was just the tiniest dusting of snow. The roads were treacherous, called off the trucks that put the de-icer on the roads because it was just too slippery. I'm not a fan of ice, at least you can play in snow.

I don't know who will get this cute card, but I'm sure I'll have opportunity to get it to someone soon!

I used my nesties to make the mat under my image and used the "out of the box" technique to cut the image - you can find the tutorial here - Splitcoast Stampers Out of the Box . Holiday Cards!

Hello friends - Jenn here today with a couple of holiday cards, I decided this year that I don't have to send everyone the same card, like I usually do. For one thing, I get tired of making the same card really quickly. So I colored up some images that I love and used all different papers from the same pack and made an assortment of cards. My first one uses Tweet of Peace and Bird of Peace, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. DP is from My Mind's Eye, cardstock and ribbon are from Stampin' Up!

This second one uses Angelic Teddy Puttering By:

Although I'm not quite ready for being in the holiday spirit, it really isn't too early to start getting the cards ready! Before you know it, it'll be mid-December! :) I kept the embellishments to a minimum on these because I don't want to have to worry about additional postage - don't forget about that when you're creating your own bulk cards. So today, I want to share with you a couple of cards for inspiration on the color theme. The first one is one I have made using JUST SOME LINES "Emo Angel 5." You can find her at JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I have colored her and the adorable little bird on her lap with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut with Nesties and daubed with Memento ink. Sentiment is from Paper Pretties clear stamps. I used Bazzill CS, a Cuttlebug folder and DP from We R Memory Keepers. Ribbon if from my stash and bling is from Darice. I sure hope you like it.

Jenn, our hostess for the current challenge, has created a wonderful sample for inspiration. She used "Fairy Kiss" from JUST SOME LINES SHOP and I just love the coloring of the image and great papers and fabulous addition of the buttons!

Is it Wednesday already?!?

The answer to my post question is obviously "yes.":) In some ways, I feel as though it should be Friday! The past 2 days have been so crazy busy. Anyway, it's Audrey here with you today and I want to share one of my very favorite images from JUST SOME LINES SHOP and it is "Little Kitten 8." I LOVE the way Jehanne draws kittens and this one is so cute looking at him from the back. It reminds me a lot of one of my dogs, who is really furry and his bushy tail sticks up when he walks away.

I colored my JUST SOME LINES image with Copics. If you are familiar with my style, then you know I cannot color just grass or just sky - have to do both! I fould this awesome sentiment, which just fits so perfectly with the image, from Hanna Stamps clear stamps. I cut the image, backing and sentiment with Nesties. The DP is from We R Memory Keepers and the CS is from Bazzill. I also added ribbon from American Crafts and button, felt flower is from Jillibean Soup. I really hope you like it, I had so much fun creating it.

Hi y'all! Laura here from the "badlands of Iowa". I'm mentally preparing myself still for winter (still). It's gotten a little cold here, but no snow yet. YAY! Each day that passes, I keep thinking...one day closer to SPRING!

I just LOVE this snowy birds digi! I mentioned last week (for our Color Challenge) that I was considering making one in every winter bird coloration I could come up with...

so here I go again! LOL

Here's how I made this card:

I colored the birds on copy paper with Copics, as well as the ribbon.

Used a Spellbinders Nestablilites Label 10 for the diecut around the birds.

Go here to see the method I used to make the branches stick out.

Embossed part of an old grocery sack with a Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder.

The grid behind the sentiment is a page from that old COLBOL book I found (it's soooo big, I'll be working off it forever!)

Sentiment tag is copy paper diecut with a Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangles layered on grocery sack kraft paper.

From Our House to Yours........

Afternoon! It's Marie back again to share a new card with you. For this one, I've used another image from the Christmas collection - 'From Our House to Yours-Neighbours' (click on the image title to go straight to the shop). Here's my card:

I love this image - I think it's perfect to send to people near and far and the heart linking the two chimneys is just wonderful! I've coloured it with Spectrum Noirs and used chalk for the night sky background, I've also added 'puffy pen' for the snow to give it some texture.
And did you notice my double bow? I think it's a great alternative to an ordinary bow and you wouldn't believe how simple if is to achieve! If you tie a bow using the 'bunny ears' method, you just double up on the 'ears' and then tie them in the usual way! Give it a try and let me know if you do, so that I can come and check it out.

Hi ... it's Chelsea here with a great card to share ....

I am loving all of Jehanne's new reindeer images that she is doing for Just Some Lines.

This one ranks up there as one of my favs! It's called Reindeer Party Harty!

When I saw it I just knew it was calling for Glossy accents and I wanted his one leg to "hang" out of the glass. So I colored him with my copics and set off to make the image come alive!

Here is a close-up of his leg and you can kind of see the glossy accents on the stem of the glass ... the WHOLE glass is covered though!

Yay me!! This is Juelmarie from J and J's Yummy Creations! Yup - it's my turn to run things around here again! So...today I decided to use Gab in the Grove! Now you can check her out in the Just Some Lines Store (it's on the hyper link on the side bar) but let me tell you a bit about her first! I decided this picture looked like a center step card! with the long flower - I remember this DCWV Posies paper with the long stems and sporadic flowers! So....I also didn't want to do a Christmas Card so I made a "congratulations" diecut with my cricut! A little bow, a butterfly and some bling! If you'll notice I used some rhinestones - yes, I pulled out the Iroc! I did fussy cut Gab and I used my nesties for the mats. So....come one - give her a try - have some fun and don't forget we have a challenge going on!!! You have until Friday to enter - so no waiting - "Get 'er done!"

For my reminder inspiration, I decided to use an image that would not be a "typical" Halloween image and make a card with it. Earlier in the week, I took a traditional Halloween image and used non-traditional colors, so I reversed that this time:)

I chose Emo Amber and Alek sitting and colored them with Copics. I added Halloween colors using papers from Bazzill, Coredinations, Cloud 9 Design and Bo Bunny. Spiders in webs are Recollections, sentiment from Northwoods rubber stamp and cut with Lifestyle Crafts die. Image and backing cut with Nesties. Flowers and bling from Prima. Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday! Today it's Audrey and I have a fun creation to share:) I used "Little Witch 1" image from JUST SOME LINES' SHOP and I decided that since I have made so many "traditional" colors Halloween cards, this time, I was going to think "outside the box." So, I chose, pink, brown, purple, yellow and a small hint of blue and green to create my card.

I found this super cute sentiment from C.C. Designs rubber stamp set and cut out with Lifestyle Crafts die. I colored my JUST SOME LINES image with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut with Nesties and daubed with Memento rich cocoa ink. Crystal bling and pearl and stars pick are from Prima, DP is from JillieBean Designs and Imaginisce and papers from Bazzill. Sure hope you like it!

How's life been treating you?

I've been thinking about why I like making cards and things. For me card making helps me to think about others, not to be too self-absorbed.

We all have our challenges and struggles, many of them hidden and private. I think it's important to acknowledge that everyone has a story.

I colored up this image with Copics to look like my little girl, wearing one of her favorite outfits. The pink background is from an old accounting/COBOL programming book, colored with a couple Copics.

This is one of my favorite images - here's one of the ATC's I created with her that hasn't been shared anywhere else:

ATC's are fun to make - the only real "rule" is that they must measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I find that digital images are especially fun to use when making them because of the ability to play with sizes on digi images. Sometimes I print the entire image small enough so the whole thing fits on the ATC, and sometimes I print it large so I can crop sections of it. They are great to tuck into a card, attach a magnet to or even punch a hole in and tie a ribbon to - instant bookmark.

Does anyone else out there have a tendency to try to do everything on your own? (guilty as charged)

Here's to my life-long battle to letting people help me out when I need it... which truth be told is often.

Why do I fight it?? Does it HAVE to be just so?

Does it HAVE to be me that sees it through from start to finish?

I created an ATC and the song I chose was "Going to California" by Led Zeppelin - this beautiful image from the JUST SOME LINES SHOP reminds me so much of the lyrics "Someone told me there's a girl out there - with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair..."

So I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, kept the DP to a minimum and added a gemstone brad and a piece of multi-colored fabric/twine stuff.

Hi All. It's Marie posting on this windy day in the UK! Sorry for being a bit later in the day, one of my relative's is in hospital, so we've been visiting her. Here's the card I made to share with you today:

On today's card, I've used the image 'Boy Fishes', which you can buy in the store here. Now, the reason for my post title is because, I printed the image off on the wrong paper for my Spectrum Noir pens, so when I was colouring, I kept getting lots of bleeding over the edges - some of the mistakes I could correct with my blender pen but others....well, it was about to go in the bin and then I thought, 'no, I'll cut the image out and then make a paper pieced background', which is what I did and I think it ended up looking so much better than the coloured background. What do you think??? So, sometimes running with your mistakes ends up working out better than if everything turns out perfectly from the word 'go'!!!

This new peacock image from Just Some Lines and it's called Little Peacock Poser.

I colored the main parts of the image with my copics and then I took my shimmer chalks and colored in its plume feathers. I love combining more that one form of coloring in the same image.

I added this wonderful sentiment from TAC and some black bling.

I just love that saying - it sounds so - Halloweenie like! Is Halloweenie a word?? Well, if you haven't already guessed - it's me - Juelmarie from J and J's Yummy Creations blog. I just love when I get to be the "leader" of the blog!! Anyway, I thought I'd use my wonky square nestability with the witches image! I used the technique out of the box - Love it! I inked the image with the nestie on it - it gives it a frame. I tried to stick with orange and purples! I'm happy with this - but how could you not be when the image is just delightful! I used the tutorial (actually quite some time ago) for the out of the box from Splitcoast stampers site - here it is - Splitcoast stampers Out of the Box Tutorial. Gab in the Groove!

Happy Monday! It's Jenn posting today - I fell in love instantly with the new Gab image from the Just Some Lines shop - I just love how perfect her wavy hair is for shading.

I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. When I color hair, I always color the entire head with a lighter shade of whatever color I'm using, and then I outline the pre-done lines in the hair with a darker color. I use blending stumps & mineral spirits and tiny swirling motions to blend the darker color into the lighter one. The DP and brads are from Stampin' Up! The ribbon tags are made from snippets from my scrap bag. Hope you all have a great week! Peace.

I would like to share my card for the challenge using "Ladybird Cupcake" which can be found HERE - such a cool image. I colored it using Copic fall colors and cut wtih Nesties die. All DP is from DCWV, sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge clear stamp and cut with Cheery Lynn die. Gems are from Recollections. I sure hope you like it and will come join our challenge!!

Yay its friday...i have been waiting for this weekend all week...not only is it my post day...but i also get to goto the seattle seahawks vs atlanta falcons game on sunday...( go falcons)....im super excited...

Now here is a new image from jehanne...its called little peacock waiting...isnt she the cutest.....you must head over and see what jehanne has in the store just click on the tap to the right --------->

I used my dcwv cardtsock and stampin up peach set....i used a cut out stamp for my bottom border....i also added some tan twine...i colored the peacock with my 80's glam sharpies...printed out the sentiment from my computer

IT'S WONDERLAND ON WEDNESDAY!!

Alice in Wonderland that is:) It's Audrey here with you today and I am using Emo Alice from JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I love this sweet image amd just wanted to make her very subdued, so she is colored with some nice purples and greys and I like this color combo of Copics for blond hair - E50, Y21, Y26 and Y28 - just very soft and peaceful. I added some brighter colors for the papers - using some textured red from SU with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a nice textured pink. DP is Bo Bunny and I am not sure where the cupcake paper is from, but I just love it.

I made the sentiment using Word - thought it fit well with the image. Flowers are some of the new Primas and I love them - nice and small and delicate with sparkle, just perfect. I cut the image and backing with Nesties and used a Lifestyle Crafts die that I maneuvered around to fit the sentiment perfectly. I sure hope you like it!!

Girl in Yellow

Hello all and Happy Tuesday! So, this past weekend I went to Hobby Lobby and got me two new Copics in the yellow family. So I went wild!

Here's a thank you card using Emo Sophie Stands and LOTS of yellow. I almost made her attire multi-colored, but thought about how cute my Bean looks dressed all in one color. I added a little sewing and actually used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment - yet it still came out crooked! Well, that's how we know it's really handmade!

Dog Gone SICK

Seems like since school started about a month ago,

everybody has had a round of something sicky.

Don't ya just hate that??

I had loads of fun coloring up Dog House Dog with Copic Sketch markers. Die cut the sentiment from TLC Creations with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Label #10. Used the Crop-a Dile to punch & install the tiny grey eyelets. The navy paper was embossed with some little hand and feet prints (but you really can't see too much of that!) Punched out the DCWV red paper strip with an ek success paw print punch.

Fairy Hello Friend!

Hello everyone - Jenn here today with another card to (hopefully) inspire you to enter our FALL COLORS challenge!

I used 2 of the JSL images, the Autumn word image and the cute little Fairy Hello Friend, which can be found in the shop here. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, and dragged the edges of the cardstock through my ink pads. I added a touch of glitter to the flower in her hair and the spots on the snail.

(I know, I know, I've been waiting forever to say that!)

Had our first freeze 2 weeks early

(for this part of the world)

Tender plants and such have been moved back inside, loaded up on a baker's rack in my dining room.

I'm really looking forward to crunchy leaves and the gorgeous colors that fall brings.

Looking forward to mild temperatures and gentle

breezes. Please stay a while fall, I'm not nearly ready for cold & snow yet!

Anyways, I digress...enjoy what ya got while ya got it!
